Barbie plays Lumina, a mermaid with the power to change the color of pearls. Cheerful and creative, she works in a mermaid hair salon, where she designs the most fantastic hairstyles. One day, Lumina gets the chance to attend the royal ball. Her friends provide a dress that would even fit a princess. But at the ball, villains try to overthrow the king in order to gain power in the realm.
