After the first film, which I found mediocre, I still tried this one if I could like it a little more. So no. It's camp, and fun to a point, but not 90 minutes long. Ultimately, the film itself is not strong enough for that and relies too much on that one gimmick. Occasionally there is a moment (the moment when the New Yorkers take up arms at the end is very funny) but that is not enough to even come close to a sufficient. And then the quality really comes into play, because there is nothing to admire in other areas either. 1.5*. And that's what I'm sticking to for this series.

After their terrifying adventure in Los Angeles in Sharknado, Fin [Ian Ziering] and April [Tara Reid] have decided to give their relationship another chance. But their stay in New York turns into disaster when they are again ambushed by a sharknado and Fin considers it his duty to save as many civilians as possible and put an end to the sharknado. Sharknado took itself a little too seriously, but this sequel tries too hard to be funny. Ziering has a lot of fun and there is an abundance of cameos from people who are mainly known in New York. Sharknado 2 is (in my opinion) a bit better than Sharknado 1.
The effects have been slightly improved and the way you get to see the sharks is also better than in the first movie.
It's still a bad movie series.
I do miss Nova in this movie, she's in every movie (until she dies) except Sharknado 2

For the rest I notice that when Fin sawed a shark in half his chainsaw stayed clean and not covered in blood at all

From me Sharknado gets 2, just like Sharknado 1, 3 stars.
