After the wonderful 'Station Agent' I expected a bit more from this new McCarthy. The whole time I was watching I was thinking that a lot more could have been done with this concept. That Buscemi was the father is also as predictable as can be. Nothing special about this print, but quite nice for once.

Nice story and especially in the first half of the film also a nice performance, Sandler seems to be in place here and the role of Buscemi is also very nice.
The acting level is generally just fine in this film, but I strongly felt that they could have gotten more out of this.
For example, if I could have turned into everyone I would make more money than Sandler does, this fact could have been explored a bit more.

It is an entertaining film that looks good, unfortunately a bit predictable, but that is what most contemporary comedy (Hollywood) films are.

3*

I'd love to give this a pass,

but there are too many flaws in it for that.

In itself a nice choice that they are careful with the amount of comedy, but unfortunately the drama was worked out too superficially.

The concept can be called relatively original, but the different storylines are too separated from each other and do not come together nicely. The ending was in my opinion quite predictable and Hoffman played only moderately.

Unfortunately! *2.5
