Xate Veysel lives in the city of Midyat and, as the wife of Mayor Aziz, takes care of both domestic and political affairs. When her husband's term of office comes to an end, changes are also announced at the Veysel household. Though she'd like nothing more than to follow in her husband's footsteps, Xate's mind changes when she meets Faruk, the other potential candidate for mayor.
