Nice film, great humor in the style of De Marathon. So it is possible; a funny Dutch film. (Our sitcoms are terrible I think)

A funny farce with good acting, but it doesn't really stick. The jokes are in some cases too easy and sometimes strong. Maybe I just don't know what to do with it. Ultimately, the film works towards a nice situation, but as a film I find it a bit non-committal.

The story itself sounds quite nice and the monastery where it was filmed also looks interesting. Unfortunately, these 2 aspects are hardly used, we see 4 or 5 different rooms of the monastery and very little of the beautiful environment where it was shot, and the story doesn't seem to want to get off the ground either.
I think this has to do with the fact that the director didn't seem to know clearly which way he wanted to go, weak humor or more depth? Characters unfortunately remain flat and when an attempt is made to give them depth, this seems forced to me as a viewer.
I actually think the plus point is Noortje Herlaar, of course not only because of her appearance, but the scenes with her in it are quite entertaining. Unfortunately she doesn't have that many scenes and in the beginning a small attempt is made to create a sexual tension between her and the character of Egbert Jan Weeber, (Lucas) but this is quickly released. A lot of missed opportunities unfortunately, because I'm sure there could have been more in this story.
A pity, but because of the short playing time not super annoying.
