It has been 20 years since multinational conglomerates took control of the planet. Their insatiable appetite for profit and power has led to a new world war known as the 'Corporate Wars'. In the midst of these ruins, the 'Council of the Nine Roses' has arisen. The goal: to locate and eliminate any white collar who is believed to be responsible, directly or indirectly, for the destruction of the world.

Quite entertainingly bad for a B-movie. The story has little to no substance. The action scenes are over the top and bloody. Sometimes the film tends towards a bad version of Mad Max. Despite the low budget, the decoration is quite nice. The special effects are mediocre. In short, a strange mix, but not bad. 2.5/3.0

Nice video.
The film indeed breathes Mad Max and the many other post apocalyptic or Grindhouse works. There isn't much of a budget involved, so you can at least consider this a nice snack. The story is again nice and solid and Kristina Loken is a cool chick with guns - case in a world that... so to speak... has been swallowed up by capitalism... or in such a way that the outcasts and the poor have the upper hand instead of the other way around.
This is how we get Drifter... a cool hunter alias a former rich gentleman who is persuaded by gypsy Catherine to choose the underclass, either in a love-hate relationship. Yes, what other plot can you attach to this... Something with man-eating gypsies, lots of action, blood, bullets and bad ass tricks... villainous bad guys and... well, just an evening of watching stupid and enjoying yourself.
Not much attention was paid to the decor and sometimes it clearly looks like I'm watching a computer animation or something with cardboard (mainly in the Dead Zone), but otherwise they have put together a decent decoration. The action scenes are beautifully shot and there is also enough room for a dose of crazy humor.
All in all... Nice.

Fantastic post apocalyptic film from a director I would have liked to see more of. It's always great when, despite a small budget, you don't allow yourself to be limited in your creative choices.
It really goes wild. Fast cars, cool characters and above all, lots of action and comic over the top gore. What a party. Pace is also excellent. Something always happens.
The gun caddy as a side character is actually the only downside. Furthermore, this is a wonderful, completely over the top film with a talented director at the helm.
