"The Musical Event of the Holiday Season"
Langston (Jacob Latimore) is a Baltimore teenager, raised by his single mother, who travels to New York City for Christmas vacation. There he spends days with his estranged relatives Reverend Cornell and Aretha Cobbs (Forest Whitaker and Angela Bassett). Langston is soon done with Reverend Cornell's strict enforced rules and wishes to return home to his mother Naima (Jennifer Hudson). On an inspiring journey, Langston encounters new friends, a little divine intervention and discovers the true meaning of faith, healing and having a family.
