Good People plot

"Money changes everything"

A young American couple living in London finds themselves deeply in debt as a result of a renovation. Then they discover that the tenant in the apartment below them has died and left $200,000 in cash. All they have to do is grab the money and all their problems are solved. So they do. And that's when bad things happen to good people.

Decent start, but soon the unbelievable things pile up. Too bad because the poster with Franco, Hudson and Sy looked promising.

After a miscarriage, Tom [James Franco] and Anna Wright [Kate Hudson] decide to start a new life in England. Shortly after moving in, they discover the body of Ben [Francis Magee] and a sum of £220,000. Inspector John Halden [Tom Wilkinson] immediately links the body to a money robbery, but Tom and Anna keep their heads down. Unfortunately for them, the life-threatening criminal brothers Jack [Sam Spruell] and Bobby Witkowski [Michael Fox] are eagerly looking for this money. Routine plot is given a push in the right direction by the strong division of roles and moody cinematography of Jørgen Johansson.
