A husband and father of two daughters goes off medication, causing him to lose both his mental health and his job. Drama-comedy because behind the antics of the main character there is a human story.
Filmmaker May Forbes (haven't seen any of her films yet) manages to keep the film out of the cliché zone and doesn't make it too long, which are certainly plus points, because one quickly finds oneself in repetitive situations where one has to forget it even after a while. watched and unbelievability creeps in.
Now, I don't think anything of that, but towards the end, acceptable emotion.
Beautiful outdoor photography and a striking performance by the young Imogene Wolodarsky as the eldest daughter.
And Mark Ruffalo? Good, I thought, as a bipolar, crazy person or whatever you call it.

Ruffalo plays someone who is more annoying than anything else, and it doesn't really get bad enough to immediately make a drama film about it. And it's not really fun anywhere either. Irritating indeed - and that was exactly what I was worried about before the film started. After all, Ruffalo is often typecast as an annoying person. I thought I'd give it a chance, and Zoe Saldana is also participating. Unfortunately in a small role.
It would perhaps be better if we all became a little more tolerant. Don't make films about these kinds of people, but help them a little every now and then. And maybe also accept that not everyone is the same.
