In the summer of 2004, while traveling through Eastern Europe, Pavla Fleisher met the musician Eugene Hutz and she fell in love with him. Eugene Hutz is the lead singer of the group Gogol Bordello, who claims to make gypsy punk. Enchanted by his energy and musical dynamics, she wants to get to know him better and decides to make a film about him. A journey through Eastern Europe. Two people, each with their own track. Her goal is to rediscover a forgotten love, his is to rediscover its roots in Ukraine. It is a journey that tests their relationship.
