Korridoren plot

dr. Jan Eriksson, an idealistic young doctor in a large Stockholm hospital, finds himself in crisis because his work leaves him insufficient time and energy for meaningful care of the sick. Moral conflicts in his private life and his constant overwork lead to a nervous breakdown, after which he withdraws from his practice and devotes himself to scientific research.
