Tom le Cancre plot

A class of five-year-olds gets lost in the woods after their school teacher faints from eating wild berries. Unaccompanied, they meet fourteen-year-old Tom de Spijbelaar, who ran away from home and now lives in an ancient oak tree. Tom makes a deal with them: he will take them back to their parents, safe and sound, provided they forget everything they learned at school.
