Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death plot

"These women are serious about their taste in men."

Feminist anthropologist Margo Hunt is called in by the US government to make contact with the Pirahna Women, a tribe of exclusively male-hating women. She must try to convince them to move to an apartment in Malibu so that the government can have the Avocado Jungle for itself. During her search, Dr. Hunt is aided by the not-so-bright student Bunny and the macho guide Jim.

They love these kind of videos. This unknown and very rare work is nothing really special, but it is quite nice to have seen it once. A revision (if that is still possible with this rare work) is not necessary for me. Nice to see that the director/writer of Pretty woman and Under Siege made this. 2.5.

The annoying thing about the movie is that it's not very funny. A nice fragment here and there, but nothing to get excited about. The film satirically deals with the subject of feminism. Don't do that with very sharp texts or fine visual mockery, but with chewed-out jokes that, due to their flat stigmatization, do not contribute to a serious discussion. Not stimulating enough and not funny enough.

Now I don't know if the makers intended to release a 'serious' satire. Given the nature of the humor, I don't really think so. Doesn't matter either, but even without serious pretensions the film is unfortunately still not very funny. It's just a lame comedy. By the way, a lame comedy can be quite fun. This movie really isn't. The film is nothing more than a collection of nonsense in a lame story. Not sharp. Not stimulating. Not surprising.

Salty and trite.

Read somewhere that the film parodies other films. You can, but it will be very weak. With a bit of goodwill you can recognize things from Indiana Jones and Star Wars and the like. It's not very strong at all. Rather far-fetched and still not very funny.

Nothing more than childish anti-male satire that also has worthless jokes, it is always striking that when there is a strong feminist sauce over it, the jokes are always only at the expense of men, when it comes to the so-called oppression of women, the tone becomes a lot more serious.

Bill Maher may get the brunt of the lame jokes as a man, but both Shannon Tweed and Adrienne Barbeau's characters are completely free from any form of mockery.

That doesn't work in a good satire and it also exposes the childish sexism.
