Typical 80's Italian horror, ie bad acting and a messy script, but that pop and the music really make this movie.

4*

Decent story with poor content.

The actors bothered me the most. The acting is very poor. Theatrical screaming at every stupid trifle and visible exaggeration in expressing feelings of despair and dismay. With those bewildered looks that raise their heads at every possible threat, making the character's entire being seem ridiculous. Characters who then almost without exception look around exaggeratedly upon entering a room for possible danger that could be lurking in every corner. Characters who also utter worthless texts in a way that makes it seem as if the text is being read out. In short, annoying acting that takes away a lot of the fun of the film.

The effects are low budget but reasonably well done. The kills look convincing enough despite the limited resources. Well-timed sound effects and the dark setting also provide a dark atmosphere. That doesn't sound bad and it isn't, but embedded in many long scenes that aren't very exciting, it doesn't hold up at all.

Where in previous reports the lullaby, which can be heard at various moments throughout the film as an announcement of something macabre, was experienced as irritating or annoying, I had the opposite feeling. In fact, I found this tune to be the only element in the film that managed to evoke a successful creepy effect. I was even so inspired by it that at a certain point I started to hum along to the tune like a sort of hoarse Donald Duck.

Furthermore, I experienced little excitement while watching this actually rather boring film.

Very entertaining 80's crap from Lenzi. Starts off nicely with a pretty gory double kill. Even after that the pace stays nice, and at least as important is that the atmosphere is very nice.

The über 80s soundtrack is great. The death scenes are not as gory as in the opening scene, but there are still enough nice finds in that area. The cast can't do anything but is enthusiastic.

The film is very reminiscent of Zombie 5 Killing Birds in many ways. In terms of setting, soundtrack and film look. And I also really appreciated Killing Birds at the time.

It sags a bit in the middle, but the denouement involving a maggot-covered walking skeleton, a boiling bath of caustic liquid and a hedge trimmer that provides an "Oh no!" moment more than makes up for it.

Very nice film. Not scary at all. Without the gory kills this would have been an exciting children's film. By the way, one with a really cool soundtrack.

If I remember Deliria correctly, quite a bit of music from that film is borrowed here.
