The little piglet Babe melted many hearts in the nineties and even managed to make a lot of people leave their steak alone in the future.

It's also a cute movie, the talking animals look a bit clumsy at times, but I don't think it's an easy job to steer that in the right direction.

The cat is of course another mean case; fun scene by the fireplace as she slyly explains to Babe what pigs are actually for on the farm. Babe of course completely upset and whining.

The 3rd symphony of Saint-Saëns can be heard regularly and is a real pleasure for the ear...

If I had words to make a day for you, I'd sing you a morning golden and new!

Well done. Like a children's book come to life... touching family film about a piglet who becomes the mascot of his boss, Farmer Hoggett. The sentimental is certainly not going to dominate; it is rather cute and sweet all without too many emotions to be exploited. Especially the communication between the different farm animals is in the middle. Yeah, I also don't understand people who would dismiss a movie intended for children as "childish". If you can't stand that, just watch what else there are plenty of movies.

Well, pure children's film of course and you should try to approach it that way. At the time, it was even shortlisted for the Oscars as the best film, yes. Pretty idyllic film that resembles a happy family on the farmland. Pretty nice all those talking animals with their own character traits.

It will never be high-quality, but it is cute and gemütlich on the other hand. Discrimination and envy also lurk around the corner, but are eventually nipped in the bud. And the theme of an underdog having a seemingly unattainable talent isn't new to children's movies either.

Well done everyone, nice to see you with the kids. Nothing more nothing less.
