"The "Irene" girl in the 'Tea for Two" musical romance"

Self-assured and young Nanette tries to save her aunt and uncle's marriage by untangling her Uncle Jimmy's various innocent but alluring flirtations. For such a disentanglement attempt, Nanette enlists the help of the theater producer Bill Trainor, who promptly falls in love with her.
