Jacec is a handsome young man who runs a small student theater. One day, in the streets of Gdansk, he meets the beautiful charming Frenchwoman Marguerite. She is the daughter of a foreign consul. He falls in love with her and wants to court her. Unfortunately, he doesn't speak her language, can't play tennis well and he can't say his love.
