"The end is near."
Jim is a young guy with a new family, but a leak in a chemical factory literally and figuratively throws a spanner in the works. Minutes after the explosion, the local residents turn into mutated flesh-eating zombies and his wife also falls prey to this disease. Jim manages to escape, but it soon becomes apparent that he is left to his own devices. Together with some other survivors, they try to hold out until the promised help arrives.
