"History should never be forgotten"
In 1942, Henan Province is devastated by the most tragic famine in modern Chinese history, resulting in the deaths of at least three million men, women and children. While the primary cause of the famine is a severe drought, it is exacerbated by locusts, storms, earthquakes, epidemics and the corruption of the ruling Kuomintang government.
