Rogue Male plot
Sir Robert Thorndyke tries to shoot Adolf Hitler from a distance with a rifle in the spring of 1939, but the shot misses its target. He is captured and tortured by the Gestapo and left for dead. However, he manages to return to England, where he discovers that the Gestapo has been chasing him. Knowing that the British government will hand him over to the German authorities, he goes into hiding. However, his battle is not over yet...
