The Return of Sophie Lang plot
"LADIES WATCH YOUR DIAMONDS!"
Wanting to get back on track, well-known American jewel thief Sophie Lang believes she's dead and leaves for London. She soon finds a job as an assistant to the elderly and wealthy widow Araminta Sedley, who is also a jewelry collector. One day, Araminta decides to take an ocean voyage to the United States, accompanied by Sophie. She also takes a diamond worth $200,000, which is in a safe of the ship. However, this diamond is soon stolen. Journalist Jimmy Dawson, who also happens to be aboard the ship, has his suspicions about who Sophie really is. Sophie must now find the real thief and the diamond before the ship hits New York harbor. A police investigation could reveal her true identity.
