Joan, the daughter of an oil baron, plans to elope with a bandleader she's only known for four days to marry him. Struggling pilot Steve is asked to take them to Nevada, but he makes a deal with Joan's father to bring her to him unmarried. He flies away with her, but crashes into the desert. When the bandleader arrives with a priest, Steve does everything he can to make sure he can deliver Joan to her father.
