C.C.C. Inc. - Hippies in de Peel plot
CCC Inc. celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. The influential folk and blues band has produced many famous people: Ernst Jansz (Doe Maar), Joost Belinfante (singer of Nederwiet), Huib Schreurs (director Paradiso) and Jaap van Beusekom (director National Pop Institute). In 1969 they moved with their wives and children from the Randstad to an old farm in the Brabant village of Neerkant to start a commune there. With lots of music, films from the 70s, first-hand anecdotes and recent performances, the documentary tells the story of the band, the commune and the Dutch hippie culture. They return to Neerkant, where the arrival of these long-haired 'scobbejaks' in the small Catholic community caused a lot of commotion at the time.
