Terumae Romae plot
In ancient Rome, architect Lucius is always too rigid in his manners and struggles to adapt to the rapidly advancing time. As a result, he loses his job. To comfort him, a friend takes him to the bathhouse. There he finds a time portal that allows him to travel back and forth from ancient Rome to a public bathhouse in modern-day Tokyo. He discovers that the 'flat-faced' I like bathhouses and is intrigued by their techniques, which he 'invents' in his own time. He meets the young manga artist Mami and takes her on his crazy adventures through time.
