"The Darkest Secrets Are The Ones We Hide From Ourselves"

A man is found beaten to death in an apartment in London. Chief Inspector Bernie Reid, a sleepless dazed man facing a divorce, arrives first but is distracted by a brief encounter with an enigmatic woman. During the investigation, Bernie's thoughts turn to the woman, Anna Welles, whom he tracks down and follows. When they finally meet at a singles party, there is a mutual attraction but also slowly the mystery unravels.
