Not good.

With a cast that includes the names Samberg and Sandler, you don't have to expect a masterpiece anyway, but this was of a very dubious level. The film has a problem, it is simply not funny.

Dull shows from the two aforementioned gentlemen, both of whom are not exactly funny and also both play a rather annoying type. It all started out funny and it's mainly that the film is told in such a smooth style that it still gets 2.0*.

You can safely skip this, because this is nowhere very hilarious, innovative or special. I can't really say that the acting is bad in these kinds of movies, but as a comedy it's on a pretty questionable level.

After seeing the new Netflix movie Murder Mystery, I set up another Sandler movie. Hadn't seen the low ratings beforehand, but after seeing the film I don't quite understand how it is possible that this film has such a low average. Of course I can empathize with anyone who doesn't like this film, but I had to laugh horribly hard a few times.

Not Sandler, but Samberg was the star of the movie for me. His role is pivotal to the film because the rest of the characters in this film are somehow connected to him, be it husband-to-be, son, etc. He is the linchpin of the story, the man who is all about running.

The chemistry between Sandler and Samberg is great, besides that there are quite a lot of other nice characters. The only one that got on my nerves was the military. Terrible role.

Of course the story here is totally secondary, which is a good thing, because this was not good.

Still, I managed to enjoy myself for an evening with this, more than enough!
