Zhit plot
Zhit is an existential portrait of a number of characters in a wintery Russian province. A mother wants to be reunited with her twin daughters. A young couple gets married in church, but right after the ceremony, God—or maybe the devil, or maybe fate—relentlessly puts their love to the test. A boy wants to meet his estranged father, despite fierce protests from his mother. All characters go through their own ordeal.
