"Frankie thought playing detective would be fun...but he's finding out that killers play for keeps!"
Frankie O'Reilly is an elevator operator at a hotel. Jeff, a friend of Frankie's, also works at the hotel. When a guest is killed, Jeff is an unwitting witness. Frankie's older brother Tom works for the police and gets to handle the case. Frankie decides to start his own investigation. Since Jeff is a witness, he insists that he help him.
