Kumaré plot

"The true story of a false prophet"

Filmmaker Vikram Gandhi - a young American from an Indian family - marvels at the success of Eastern-style gurus in his country. As an experiment, Gandhi grows his beard, immerses himself in yoga and adopts an exaggerated accent. With a number of adapted yoga exercises and self-made rituals, he travels to Phoenix, Arizona under the name Kumaré. He soon gets a group of followers there.
