Gnade plot
Hammerfest is a Norwegian town on the edge of the Arctic Ocean. The sun does not rise between November 22 and January 21. This small town is the new home of a German couple and their son. Niels is an engineer who works at a gasworks on a small island off Hammerfest. Maria is a nurse and has decided to join her husband and support him in his new career. The couple seems to have adapted well to the circumstances, but then an accident happens.
