The Jungle Book plot
"The legend will never be the same."
When his father is killed by a tiger, young Mowgli ends up in the jungle, where he is raised by wolves. Years later, he falls in love with Katherine Brydon, who meets him on a safari. Not such a worthy attempt by Sommers who will later make more famous work such as The Mummy, Van Helsing and GI Joe. The lack of budget and experience will play a role here. Although the film has become a fun family film that you would expect more from the Disney stable. The Jungle Book has become a film that can captivate enough, but never really overwhelm. Sometimes that is enough, but in this case it helps the film a bit in the forgotten corner unfortunately.

At first I thought it was more of a children's movie because it was well made and overdone. Some scenes with the animals also seemed pretty fake to me. But almost at the end of the film when they kidnap Kitty and a number of men die by, for example, falling into the quicksand, then the film turns out not to be suitable for children. to be. I now wonder what the target group is because I think it is too childish for adults and too confrontational for children.
Sometimes it was doable because some scenes with the animals were nice to see. The black panther was especially beautiful. But for the rest I prefer to stick to the animation version.
