Joyful Noise plot
"Dream a whole lot louder"
After the death of a choir director in the small Georgia town of Pacashau, Vi Rose Hill (Queen Latifah), mother of two teenagers, takes charge of the choir. However, the conductor's widow, GG Sparrow (Dolly Parton), believes she should have been given that position. Due to financial problems, the choir threatens to have to stop. Eventually, the two women resolve their differences and set out to beat the competition in the annual "Joyful Noise" competition.
