The Bad Penny plot

Six years ago, boxer Jack "The Ripper" Stemmons' career was ruined by a St. Louis bookmaker. After Jack takes revenge, he is forced to hide in Thailand. There he falls prey to the addictive and exotic underworld of Bangkok. He eventually falls for the charms of a handsome prostitute. However, she is hired by a Russian mobster to get Jack back into the ring, this time in the underground fight clubs. No matter how hard he struggles to put his past behind him, it continues to haunt him.

Get your paracetamol ready for this poorly filmed thriller about a former boxer [Casey T. Evans] who flees from St. Louis to Bangkok after refusing to cooperate in a deal between his uncle and manager [Jim van Vleck] and a corrupt boxing promoter [Tom Arnold]. Years later, a dupe [Nick Faltas] tracks him down at the café 'The Ripper' and the family history is recounted in anticipation of the inevitable final confrontation. Bellanca and co-writer Sasha Levinson try to spice things up a bit by playing with the chronology, but apart from the few boxing scenes, this is not worth watching.
