The negative reactions here on MM made me slightly doubtful, but fortunately I found a lot of positive reactions on IMDB and they were more than justified.
Very entertaining film with a Michael Keaton on a roll and children who were fortunately not annoying. Of course, the ending is almost always predictable in these types of films, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. As far as I'm concerned, this is one of those 80s classics that conveys a wonderfully warm atmosphere and can put a broad smile on my face, something that contemporary films still too often miss the mark with.
Teri Garr was also a wonderful woman at that time, sexy and at the same time she had a sweet and slightly insecure appearance. 
Mr. Mom is a fairly simple comedy film, but it gets the job done

Nice film in which a man has to take care of his children when he is fired and his wife gets a job. This 80s family comedy is a typical work from John Hughes. Of course there are quite a few clichés. It is certainly entertaining and quite funny here and there, moreover, there is plenty happening and the pace is quite high.
