A German film about neo-Nazis seems trite, but "Kriegerin" is by no means. The hopeless situation of these right-wing rascals is shown in a confrontational way, who do not necessarily join the group for the sake of ideology, but also, for example, to reject their parents (Svenja). Marisa in turn comes to an understanding, and the film shows how she is not inherently bad, a cliché that people - as far as these people are concerned - are only too happy to sprinkle with. The atmosphere is depressing, the violence short and sweet, and nowhere is it unbalanced. The two lead actresses are doing a great job. If the comparison holds: better than "American History X".

Oh wow, what a movie. With Combat Girls aka Kriegerin you enter a terrifying world of right-wing extremists / neo-Nazis. Above I read the term 'unbelievable' and even 'scare-mongering' a number of times, but that is by no means the film. Unbelievably, I think it fits better here.

Marisa is just the perfect person to repent. If anyone in the group qualifies for this, it's her. In the first place because, unlike the men in the group, she does think about certain things. Second, her behavior is so extremely violent that it comes across as a subterfuge, and the political statement is of less importance. You have to get tired of the violence, certainly to that extent. That is what happens. When the men crawl through the sand like half soldiers, she is annoyed by their stupidity.

The moment she realizes that she has actually killed someone is a turning point for her and she sees, albeit with some doubt, that what she is doing is nonsense, and to hate people who will not harm her. Her hatred shifts, as it were, to the neo-Nazis, who were once her best and only friends. She is ashamed of the swastika on her body and puts a bandage on it.

I found the movie very impressive. The ending is shocking.

Good movie with a strong protagonist. Absolutely no information film by the Anna Frank foundation on the contrary.

Aside from the flashforward at the beginning that doesn't add tension, rather removed it, as is often the case with this stylistic device, I found the film captivating and surprising from start to finish.

Marisa is certainly not the smartest, and I think she has a personality disorder bi-polar or something (you can wonder to what extent Neo-Nazis are still mentally healthy), but she does have a certain purity, so we can empathize with her despite her Nazi sympathies.

The change in her behavior in light of the events in the film, as Hannibal also points out, is therefore understandable.
