The Monster of Highgate Ponds plot
"Produced Specially For Children"
David, Sophie and Chris help their uncle Dick unpack his things after his trip to Malaya. They find a large egg among all kinds of junk, which suddenly breaks open and a baby monster crawls out of it. However, the monster is growing at an alarming rate. Their pocket money can no longer handle the beast's huge appetite and it becomes too big to hide in the house. They decide to transfer the monster to the Highgate Pond, but there it is seen by dark types.
