The unbearable lightness of being a

But what was it again? This mediocre farce doesn't answer that question, nor any other question you might have. Or perhaps it should be how to deal with mediocrity, because that's perhaps what the film is about. However inappropriate, with top artists like Streisand and Hackman in the lead roles, but as the saying goes, everyone has to vacuum sometimes.

Whether this film was the impetus for that is too much trouble for me to find out—and the film isn't really worth that much effort. But much, much better films have been made later, set in a supermarket, and also much better films about life as a boring married bourgeois. Okay, a Career Opportunities (1991). Or even something like Friends With Kids (2011).

Let this film remain forgotten. I'm sure everyone involved would be happy with that.
