Ah, too bad, too bad, too bad.

This movie had some great characters, and a few times I nearly bent over at certain comments, but otherwise a few chuckles and that was it. The plot is often just forgotten, the story just didn't seem to flow.

Still, it wasn't all bad in terms of quality; good gore (unfortunately often off-screen) and nice pictures. But it was just meh. I wanted to be blown away by this movie, but that wow factor wasn't there, and sometimes it was a struggle to keep my attention.

When the DVD cover promises a cross between Shaun of the Dead and the Hangover, expectations are very high, but this film never gets the full pound of its potential. A shame.

"Shaun of the Dead meets Hangover"... At least that's the slogan on the cover and I understand the comparison, but the level is actually significantly lower.

Admittedly, there are some funny moments in this film, but in general the cheesiness dominates. The story also becomes too childish in the long run because of the cheesy romantic twist.

Not very interesting **

This comic zombie film has some charm, but not enough. The cast and the make-up effects are passable and here and there I had to laugh, but plot and humor repeatedly fall short. The many nice references to other films and the sympathetic tone of the whole make it all just bearable.
