This docu-like drama was a disappointment. The unrealistic took me completely out of the film every few minutes. This is quite serious with this movie as it tries to come across as realistic in style. The truth-based part of the film seems to be limited to the things about children that pass by (often as little more than an anecdote). But the story about the police team seems anything but realistic to me. For example, they go partying with each other (top atmosphere, who wouldn't want such colleagues), then they (almost) fight with each other, hit the suspects, have a nice laugh together at the young victims their faces, get emotionally involved in everything, quarrel with other police forces, don't want to go home after duty, and so on, and meanwhile they get divorced/married, they cheat, play games, do dances and talk about it all the time sex. Perhaps in France this service functions as a kind of child protection and therefore they act as a fire brigade (a lot of time doing nothing, playing games, and waiting for something to play, and as soon as something happens, like an interrogation, the whole group sit in and interfere, so I'll leave that aside, although that doesn't convince me either.I found the story around the team more like a soap opera than a serious look at such a department.

The film itself is watchable, entertaining, and the (misplaced) humor sometimes works, such as the girl whose cell phone is taken away but it certainly doesn't seem realistic to me. The only lump in my throat moment for me was the abortion story. On the other hand, there is a ridiculous and unnecessary ending. 2*

Not immediately the job of your life, working at the police vice squad. Watch it for two hours and you immediately realize how screwed up some people are. Well, I knew that too, but the filth that sometimes emerges here is sometimes difficult to grasp. Life as it is within this police unit probably.

So interesting look. These policemen are also just people who have an enormous work ethic. There is hardly any private life and that also takes its revenge in certain scenes. It is not illogical that some also visit each other because there is no one else there.

There are many crimes that pass in review, perhaps just too many to get any affinity with the event. Now it is just a tsunami of many loose fragments and interrogations without you really getting a feel for it. A strange scene here and there. That smartphone interrogation, for example, unintentionally hilarious…

The Neighborhood Police, but for adults. We follow a police force that deals with sex crimes. Some facts do come in handy. But the whole thing is so busy and chaotic, and not in a positive way. It's a busy chat movie that looks more like reality TV or a documentary, but that's not exactly a plus for me. A pity really, because the subject is important and with a little more focus it will stick more. By the way, I am shocked by the number of votes, because I noticed the film because it is on the Lumière site, because otherwise I completely missed it.
