Benvenuto Presidente! plot
Giuseppe Garibaldi is a humble but optimistic librarian in a small town in Lombardy. There he mainly focuses on reading and bringing children into contact with culture. In Rome, frustrated Italian politicians appoint a historical figure, Giuseppe Garibaldi, as the new (false) president. But that's how they suddenly bombard his current namesake as president. This is how Guiseppe suddenly finds himself in the middle of the hectic and harsh world of Italian politics. If he gains popular support for his good deeds, the establishment parties want him gone.
