Carmen is a member of a terrorist gang and falls in love with a young police officer. He is the guard of a bank that Carmen and her gang rob. She seduces him and pulls him to inevitable doom. Parallel to this story, an impression is given of a quartet rehearsing a piece by Beethoven.
