"When now is all you've got"
Bill is a former top banker who has fallen from grace. He made multimillion-dollar deals buying and selling the debt of emerging countries. Now he's a fugitive trying to avoid jail time and on the brink of suicide. He finds shelter with the kind and free-spirited Angela, an illegal immigrant who has created a magical world on a rooftop somewhere in eastern Los Angeles. A passionate, open-minded relationship develops and Angela helps Bill rebuild his life.
