Little Spies plot

Jason (Peter Smith), the leader of a group of neighborhood kids, is shocked to learn that a shady street gang is selling stolen dogs to a dishonest kennel owner. The animals are used for medical trials. When Jason's dog also falls victim to the gang, the children are powerless and unable to do anything. They enlist the help of Jimmy (Mickey Rooney), a mysterious hermit and World War II hero. Jimmy trains them to raid the kennel in command-style in order to free their dog.
