I expected it much worse because of the many negative comments… probably because the movie is called Mean Girls 2 and is less good than the 1st.

Nice to see Nicole Gale Anderson in this before she competed in Ravenswood.

Obviously she's the 'Gretchen' of this movie.

Well.

A sequel to such a successful, yet simple film is inevitable. I wasn't going to watch this one anytime soon. At the time I thought part 1 was just a film that was very entertaining. This sequel wasn't necessary, but it's actually not that bad.

But it's not as good as part 1 of course. It's a bit disappointing, especially when it comes to acting. The Mean Girls are much less memorable than the earlier Mean Girls, although Walsh is still an ideal choice in terms of appearance.

But the good girls are also less so. Martin has the charisma, but not the acting power unfortunately. All a bit too stoic. Stone is a lot better as an assistant and also has more charm. Meadows as rector is also not wrong, but gets a somewhat discarded role.

It's all still amusingly happy, but clearly a film that relies a little too much on the concept of part 1. And this one is less impressive in that area. But the pace is right there with some funny detail in scenes, which eventually disappears but occasionally comes back above the ground.

It's not all that funny, but I actually thought it was on the same level as part 1 with slightly less acting power. But why I'm not giving the same rating is because that final on the rugby field was really drab. But it's fun. But these kind of high-school comedies are always in with me.

Mediocre. I've never seen part 1 so I can't compare to that. I still think the lead actress is okay, she has a nice appearance and acts nice and natural, but I especially think that group of Mean Girls itself is very mediocre. I wouldn't know why the rest of the school would look up to them either. The moments between Jo and Abby are the better points of the film and also feel sweet and sympathetic, but the rest I find a lot less interesting. It never gets really nice, or sharp or biting or really mean. it all unfortunately remains a bit tame, where much more could have been in it. 1.5*.
