Gooische Vrouwen plot
In Het Gooi, the lives of the four friends are anything but smooth. Cheryl's husband, Martin, is again quite distracted by another female beauty. Claire's daughter and therefore her grandson leave for Burkina Faso for three years. Roelien is upset because she has beaten an elderly person and to make matters worse, Butterfly decides to live with her father, because she thinks her mother is a slut. The ladies are in dire need of a holiday to rejuvenate themselves. They pack their bags and leave for France. Once there, they realize how important friendship really is.

I'm not a fan of the series, I rarely or never watch it, I find Linda de Mol irritating and so do her Gooische dintjes. Not really a movie for me, but for lack of better I still set it up in the plane.
It was okay. It was less disturbing than expected. Still on the flat side, the humor doesn't come through well and it's quite predictable, but hey, I got through it reasonably well.
Would have been even more fun without that Martin, but he's part of it.

Pretty witty though.
Even after reviewing it, I was still able to laugh about it at times. 4 different types, each with their own style and problems where the supporting roles were actually much more fun, such as folk singer Morero and Tante Cor. The story is very fast paced and therefore enjoyable to watch. The one-liners and jokes are well timed.
The Netherlands can do it, make nice comedies.
But then I think more of De Marathon and Aanmodderfakker.

Best to look away. I wouldn't dare call the film good, all the characters are all way too thick for that and I don't like that as much. All four women already did, but also that folk singer Martin. What I can appreciate, especially the first hour, is that a lot happens, but there isn't really a story, but more an impression of the lives of the four. I often like those movies. So sorry about the last half hour, but oh well, this could have been worse. 2.5*.
