Redemption Road plot

Baily goes through life as a troubled blues musician. After one of his drunken nights, he is approached by a mysterious man. He tells him that Baily's grandfather has died and that he will have to go to his hometown to collect his inheritance. Baily, who first refrains from the good news, eventually decides to go along. Traveling the far South, the duo makes good use of the region's musical history to pop into every blues bar they come across. During their trip, Baily regularly reaches for the bottle to understand and accept the wisdom of his new friend. He becomes more and more aware that he has to put his past behind him.
