Blackjack Ketchum, Desperado plot
To save someone, the gunslinger Tom "Blackjack" Ketchum must kill Ben Tetlow in self-defense. He then runs away. Blackjack is doing its best to start a new life and leave behind its reputation as a marksman. Nita Riordan falls in love with him. Blackjack's peaceful life is disrupted when Ben Tetlow's cattle baron and brother, Jared Tetlow, drives into his territory and decides to settle there. When the local ranchers refuse to sell Tetlow land, he hires the gunfighter Dee Havalik to start a ground war. Against Nita's wishes, Blackjack finds himself compelled to take up arms again and battle Tetlow and his henchmen to restore peace.
