Into Pitch Black plot
A police officer is assigned the task of finding and arresting an escaped convict, Richard B. Riddick. Riddick was transported aboard a spaceship, the Hunter-Gratzner, which had 40 people on board, including a bounty hunter Johns, who captured Riddick and escorted him to the penal colony of Slam City to collect the money for his arrest. But the Hunter-Gratzner was struck by a meteor shower and crashed into a desert planet, leaving Riddick and ten survivors behind. The cop decides to hire a female bounty hunter to track down and capture Riddick alive. The female bounty hunter begins to suspect that there is more to the Hunter-Gratzner incident and discovers that one of the survivors, Paris P. Ogilive, was carrying a priceless collection of artifacts on the starship.
