In an apocalyptic future, the economy has collapsed permanently and crime is rampant. Australia's government has converted drive-in movie theaters into camps for criminals, the unemployed and youth who don't want to be disciplined. Hardly anyone tries to escape, because they are fed and it is better than the outside world. Crabs and his girlfriend Carmen end up in the camp, but try to escape with all their might.
