Chungyo plot
Myeong-ja is the daughter of a concubine who lost her husband to his lawful wife. To earn money she is employed by her mother as a prostitute. She meets Dong-shik, an impotent and unhappily married man. Myeong-ja overcomes his impotence and she moves in with him. This is done with the approval of his wife Soon-jo, who, however, claims Dong-shik from noon to midnight.
